Lovely Weekends

Friday saw the first Christmas class of the year - and some new faces played along - it was a wonderful day - just short of some Christmas music in my opinion but hey that could be taken as taking it too far!
(maybe I will be daring for the next class in July!)
My gorgeous pal Liz came along and stayed over for another play day on Saturday - look at the gorgeous tulips she brought!

On Saturday we were joined by another 3 friends - we all met through the Do-crafts forum swapping atcs and its wonderful how our friendships have blossomed through the years.

We each made our own version of this. Which is my next stamping club project next Friday - its turned out just how I wanted it but I do still need to add some Gems to finish it off.
Sunday was all about afternoon tea with 2 lovely ladies. The tea was postponed from Easter Saturday so they still had their Easter gifts to be given.
Cute little muslin bags - stamped with inks and paints.
Such a cute way to give some mini eggs!
I forgot to take afternoon tea pictures which is a shame as I had made some parcels from filo pastry which I was very proud of but none left to photograph as they were too delicious!

Hope your weekend has been as wonderful as mine - I feel tired but rested if you get what I mean - ready to be back to work again tomorrow.
Megs and I are down to the serious business of puppy hunting - so lots of research to do before we choose our bundle of cuteness. I think that will keep me busy for a while LOL.

Take care and thanks for stopping by xx

A little bit of Gorjuss

I was drawn to this stamp - most likely because it reminds me of our Megs. On Sunday I had a few hours to myself so I had a little play - Its the first time in ages I have created just for the pleasure of creating and I did so enjoy it.
I love the papers too which I think are Kaiser craft.

Hope all well with you and thanks for stopping by x

Mid afternoon project at this weeks Christmas class

This is my fourth year running Christmas classes throughout the year and they are surprisingly popular.
We make 10 cards in a stamp a stack fashion then end the day with something different to cards. This time we are making a cotton reel wreath.

I made these before - a couple of years ago but used craft wire - this ended up buckling to more of an egg shape than a wreath so I have been on task to find thicker, stronger wire. That found the task was then to find the right tools to cut and bend it with - thanfully a brief fling with jewellry making and my passion for keeping all tools mean't it was not as hard as I thought.
'Tis a fiddly project for sure but should take no longer than an hour and will be a lovely decoration as a gift or for ones own home.
I love the papers but adore that stripey ribbon!

Hope you have all had a fabulous weekend. I have really enjoyed having my family home. I have indulged in Mum tasks and loved every minute.  Its got to last me until November as my youngest son heads off to America in 2 weeks time to begin an awesome adventure as part of a new band onboard a cruise ship. I am excited for him and so proud of all he has achieved.
If pride is a sin I am afraid I sin everyday - my kids make me proud as they are all amazing young people, kind, talented and brave.
Enjoy the bank holiday tomorrow folks and thans for stopping by x

Christmas - yes you heard right !

Almost everyone I know knows I love Christmas - really its the prep its self I love. I soon found lots of other folks love to prepare for Christmas all year round and I have 11 of them joining me for my first Christmas class at the end of the month.
This month they will get 2 forever friends stamps and the copic pens I love to use for their fur. Here is one of the cards they will be making.
(sorry the lighting was rubbish)
A simple design - easy to replicate with their own stash and I love the white on white look.
I am entering this in to Crafty Hazelenuts Christmas challenge which is seeing red a little or a lot - a little red for me !
In the class we will make 10 cards - 5 designs 2 of each and also a little something extra. I have so many ideas i have not fully decided what the last hours project will be - one thing is certain it will be Christmassy !
We like to play a round robin sort of game where 2 folks work on a card at a time (one 3 as well this time) which means no waiting about - you make the cards in front of you then pass them on until all 10 are made.
We have found this the perfect way of getting so many cards done in a day.
(I think it may be called stamp a stack over the pond).
I just know the ladies will love the gorgeous papers I have for them this time too - no more sneaky peeks as I like to save the designs for surprises on the day.
Hope whatever you have been doing today has been fun.
Thanks for stopping by x

So here I am again - Why?

So I am back here.
Why? you may wonder.
Well the new blog has not worked out.  Firstly folks could not follow me unless they were on google plus or Bloglovin - this has been a pain which I have tried many ways to resolve -then no one seems to be able to help so in essence I have given up and come back.
Lots has happened in the last 9 months so if you have missed me and want a catch up check in at
In the meantime back to current crafty business - here are some samples for my next stamping club session where we revisit colouring on a regular basis to help with confidence and iron out any issues the ladies have not getting the results they desire.
These few cards are from a Docrafts Forever Friends set - I love colouring in these bears and they are easy for getting the shading results which lets face it we all want.
Loving these hot cross bun ones - who loves a yummy hot cross bun? Think we will have them at the class on Friday - delish. These cards are coloured with promarkers and I think the chocitastic one qualifies for the Passion for promarkers challenge which is funny cards I think any made up word brings a smile to my face !
This is the other style of colouring we will play with - cute little bunnies by Penny Black which are a dream to watercolour. Sentiment by Stampin' up but this would easily be any everyday card not just for Easter.

Have you missed me?
Let me know if you have - sorry it took so long for me to get my move was not the best idea - and thanks to everyone who has tried to persevere keeping up with my crafty and non crafty antics xx

Thanks as always for stopping by x
