Creative Moments - Animals

This is a new to me stamp as are most of my Easter ones to be honest. I wish I sent more Easter cards as they are so cheery and bright.
This image is by Penny Black and an utterly delight to watercolour with the distress pens I love so much.
Sentiment is by Stampin up as is the cheery dotty paper.
My DT pals have come up with all sorts of animal projects this week so do stop by and check them out - it would be fab if you could play along too - any animal will do it doesn't have to be cute !
Stop by here
I am also entering this into Simon says Stamp challenge - Easter/ Spring
Creative Inspirations challenge which is Spring colours
and The little red wagon challenge - Easter
Have a wonderful day

GNPE

I promised cupcakes on Saturday for the Extravaganza (cupcakes or buns ? which is best???)
Anyway missed seeing lots of folks but I did sit there for 3 hours chatting with old friends and total strangers - giving away cupcakes was a novelty that folks who didn't know me were puzzled at.  Still after giving a lady, who sat having  lunch, a cake, afterwards she told me today was her birthday and that was the only cake she would have.  That called for a sing song in her honour so we sang to her.  Hope you enjoyed the rest of your day Jackie.

I used to trade a lot of atcs at the shows, now I take along little gifts for those pals I have known for a while.  This was one for Joanne.
containing vanilla scented candles.
I was most upset to realise I had left the little tag book from my last post behind which was of course for the lovely Georgina.  Good job I will be seeing her next Saturday so I can give it then.
Looking forward to day 2 of the show tomorrow.
Hope I see you there x

Good friends

My pal Georgy gave me a sample of the fab secret garden papers by Graphic 45.
They are def on my want list now!
Here is what I made the other night with the papers.
During a tidy up I had found this papier mache book I had bought about 3 years ago
so I set about transforming it into a little
keep sake with some inspirational tags inside
There are 7 tags - one for each day of the week.
A nice simple project which gave me a lot of pleasure making it.
This will be a RAK - wonder who for!

and now for something completely different!

March is a month jam packed with birthdays so here is one I made a week or two ago with some left over stash and some Hero Arts stamps.
wish my legs looked that good!
Simple paper piecing with a totally different look.

I am all set for GNPE - my lovely pal Liz bought me this bag with a J on.  A little bit of clarky doodling and I now have a bag for the show!
If you are going on Sunday and see me or my bag do say hello!

Happy Birthday Michelle !

On Mothers day too! Yes today is Michelles birthday so I made her a card so far removed from what she would make her self  LOL. The cupcake paper has been waiting for such an occasion - no idea who makes it as I got it in a paper swap but I have stroked it many times for the last 3 years so its time to move on.
Love this cute stamp by Penny Black - again she has been coloured by direct to paper distress pens and a damp brush - my fav technique thus far :) though I am fickle so until the next one arrives!

Hope you have a wonderful day Pal xx

Yep another birthday

Barbaras birthday was Wednesday but I am not seeing her until today so here is her card.
She fell in love with the tree poem by Stampendous and I have to agree its a beauty.
teamed with tree words by woodware  and stamped on to some planish but patterned paper I love the gentle simplicity.

Hope you had an amazing birthday Barbara xx

As this posts we will be at Stamping club playing with water colours to make a cute Easter Egg project and will no doubt be stuffing ourselves with delish cakes baked by Barbaras daughter Debbie yum yum yum xx

Happy Friday folks xx

Creative Moments - Use a sentiment

Its funny how we all read different things into words - I saw this and immediately thought the sentiment needed to be the focus and that I didn't needs any images.  This gorgeous intricate diecut came to mind that my friend Georgy gave me last week.
She truly is a treasure so the sentiment is very apt!

Do stop by and see how my teamies have interpreted the challenge - who knows what slant will pop into your head to play along too.

Spring is springing

Not long until Easter and I have been playing with a new Penny Black stamp I bought recently - new to me that is.  Another bus I am late getting on but I am loving watercolouring these fab images.
I sent quite a few Easter cards last year so plan to make one or two more.  These cheery papers by Craft Creations are just the job.
Hope you are having a great week xx

Just playing about

with a lovely stamp I have had a while now.  Its by Stampendous and the sample I saw at the shop I bought it from was amazing.  Done this with distress ink pens direct to paper then blended with a wet brush.
Love the sentiment too which is by Lindsay Mason - love her stamps.
Another busy week ahead with a 7am start shift tomorrow.  I am also doing the MIDAS mini bus test on Tuesday and am already a bag of nerves.  I don't doubt I can do the driving its the test thats making me anxious - silly I know I shall need to do some deep breathing and mind diversion!

Speaking of which - I know I am late on this particular bus but went to Frodsham on Thursday to Crab Apple Crafts and did a mini class with Rosemary Merry and we Zentangled! I really enjoyed the relaxing nature of structured doodling here is what I made using the fabulous stamps by Woodware.

sorry thats the computer screen you can see at the top!
we also made this very pretty card using a mixture of card candi, gems and sakura pens to colour as well as some lovely paper piecing.
Twas a lovely day xx Best head up the wooden stairs to the land of nod!
Thanks for stopping by xx
