another quickie......

Atc that is! Another swap I agreed to in haste this time the theme is butterflies.
I love the new Darcie stamps and this combines 2 - the butterflies and the bees sets
adirondack red pepper and sunshine orange on a brushed background.
I love the Darcie stamps and have a few I have yet to play with.

Today is the Lovin Ink craft retreat - we have been full since July so there has been lots to prepare.  Cant wait to see all the retreaters - all whom have become very dear friends.
I hope to have lots of pictures on Monday to share xx

Have a great weekend x

catching up slowly........

Its been a month where there has been lots of paperwork and secret projects going on so I feel like I have not had much time to craft to be honest.  I had a couple of hours free yesterday so had a play with a card I needed to make for a card swap on Facebook.  The theme is the sea.

I have missed playing with the distress markers so thats where I started along with this fab stamp by Kanban.
Some craftwork cards papers and card candi - a touch of butterscotch ink and a Kaisercraft sentiment and here it is.

Life has taken its twists and turns here in the Clarke house. Sadly Hubbys return to work did not go as planned so after a regroup he has given up his job and gone for something completely different.  A part time position which will allow him to try and build a business out of his musical talents.  At the moment he has roughly 2 bookings a week playing at residential homes for the elderly for entertainment and he has had excellent feedback which is really good for helping him build up his confidence. He has also taken a small position conducting a clarinet choir in a nearby town which he is loving every minute of.
Its a huge gamble financially but we both feel it had to be done.

So in amongst the busyness of business there has been some major decisions to make.  I do hope you will forgive my lack of blogging and commenting but I do hope to be raring to go again soon x

Thanks for stopping by x

trying to catch up......

with a few swaps I agreed to in haste this month.  This one is for a swap over on Facebook all about time.  I have mixed papermania and paperartsy stamps with distress ink wild honey, scattered straw and tea dye before stamping in archival sepia and black.  I've used the last little watch face charm I have so I do hope I can find some more!
Hope my partner likes it - I received mine a couple of weeks ago and its lovely.

Hope you have had a fantastic day xx

I was giving birth to my eldest son Tom - the day I became a MUM.  This is the first year he has not been living with us for his birthday and it has felt so strange sending his card and present to him through the post.
I went with simple although it took ages to paperpiece these fab letters stamped onto wild rose studio papers with papermania stamps.  I am a huge fan or corrugated card so was very pleased to find these card blanks which I believe may be from Kanban.

Another busy work week with nightshifts and quick turn arounds for day shifts but there is light at the end of the tunnel in the form of 3 days off from Sunday so I am really looking forward to them.

Hope your days have been calmer and filled with lots of crafty time x

No craftyness to share but wow what a week!!

Wow last week was a busy old time - Lots of work work work, Stamping club then work, Teaching at Craft Range then work so no craftyness to share I'm afraid so thought I would share this.

Danielle Brown Danielle Brown of Great Britain receives her Gold medal after winning the Women's Individual Compound - Open class competition on day 6 of the London 2012 Paralympic Games at The Royal Artillery Barracks on September 4, 2012 in London, England.

This young lady won gold medal last week for archery.  Danielle used to be a frequent visitor to our house as she went to school with my eldest son Tom.  We were thrilled to hear she had done so well at The Paraolympics and very excited when this happened

Yes Skipton got its very own Gold postbox.  Here it is undergoing the transformation last Thursday.
Mum also went and bought some of the commemorative stamps - perfect for sending our Tom his birthday card next week!!!

This week is going to be much the same as last week as my days off have been saved up so I can attend the Woodware days next weekend Sunday and Monday. Really looking forward to this and its very local just a few miles away in Grassington so very little travelling.  After seeing the new Christmas Woodware stamp range it will be exciting to see them being used and to have a play.

Hope you have had an exciting week xx
