Keeping secrets

Do you find it hard to keep schtumm? I do incredibly hard - this project has been on the simmer for about 6 weeks and is for my pal Midnight-crafter.
We have as you know been setting up our own little company and have been bursting with ideas. We need to put life on hold for a month to get it all done - You know like Martine McCutchen does in that Activia snack pot advert? Yes there is so much to do and so little time to do it. Anyway we have had big discussions about tea - in particular tea boxes - this will become clearer after the retreat when we share what we have made but suffice it to say there has been a lot of tea talk.

After one such discussion I found this fabulous wooden tea box in a charity shop and just knew it would have to be a pressie for Michelle. So I stripped off the awful picture on the glass and set to work with some beautiful tissue paper my son James got in a parcel from the shop All Saints. Using gel medium - the glossy kind - the tissue paper was a doddle to do. Then because I got bored of waiting for it to dry I moved on to other things.

Last weekend I added the stamped clocks (paperartsy) and the paper pieced teacups (craft stamper freebie) using a mixture of basic grey and papermania papers.

I am thrilled with the results but more importantly so is she! Filled with lots of different teas it was a lovely pressie. But very hard to keep a secret - especially as she spied it last week and said whats that? A work in progress says I you can see it when its done!
Had a fabulous day with Kerry yesterday who helped unlock what I've been doing wrong with my promarkers. Mum and I have not stopped colouring since! Thanks Kerry you are a fabulous personal tutor xx
Tonight I have my Niece and Nephew coming to sleep so ! will be up very early on Sunday! Got to get my thinking cap on as Rebecca wants to make Mummy something for Mothers day - best get thinking then!
