The stamp man swaps - the Ocean

Another month for an atc swap at The Stamp Man and this months theme is The Ocean. I have to say I was a little stuck with this theme but after being in the company of the wonderful Angela I played with this. the Ocean is made out of kitchen roll - yep its true - the excess from using spray inks in blues and greens - added in the art quest way of using napkins - I am thrilled with the effect! a touch of distress ink - the addition of a compass from the Tim Holtz air travel set and a touch of doodling. My Grandma used to sing the song
Wide, wide as the Ocean
high as the heavens above
Deep deep as the deepest sea
is my saviours love

I think of that every time I hear the word Ocean so really felt it should be there. My team mates have worked wonders with this theme - check them out here

I spent a wonderful weekend with Angela , Anne and Michelle - full of artistic inspiration and perfect hospitality by Angela and her family - the ideal mix of crafting and socialising. I have lifted the p[icture from Angelas blog! Thank you for a wonderful time :0) Angela and her family move back to the states next week so the saving to visit has begun! do stop by Angelas blog here where she shares her gorgeous ideas.
Back to work for me today - hope your Monday is more exciting!

  1. I love your ATC - great colours and textures.
Your weekend sounds to have been a lot of fun.
    Hugs xx

  2. Janet - thanks for helping to make the weekend memorable. I have put some pictures on my blog - if you want anymore just let me know. Cheers Anne
PS Loved the stuff you made over the weekend.

  3. Love the free artistic creativity of your ATC Janet. The ocean looks fabulous, I must experiment with that technique.
Looks like a great weekend was had by one and all.
    luv and hugs {brenda} xoxox

  4. Loving the photo and the great thing about crafting posts is you can't really tell how big everything is, I read the post twice before realising this is a tiny ATC - how utterly utterly gorgeous!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and look at my bits and pieces. If you leave a comment I can pop over to yours and have a peep at your work too.
