Halloween mini book

My pal Georgina is a huge fan of Halloween well actually the supernatural because she includes fairies, angels, vampires and witches in her interests.  She has a corner of her home as a witchy place.
When I saw these papers I just knew I wanted to make her a mini album that she could add to herself too. So I know she has received it by now so I can share

Certainly not everyones cup of tea but I had fun making it and I just know she will love it too!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Baby girls

I have a Christening ahead of an old family friends new baby but lack the sentiments for a religious card so I have had a play with a Mo Manning stamp which I adore.
Then added a sentiment from a whimsy set I bought a few weeks ago.
The lush papers are by Echo Park and come in a 6x6 pad called victoria garden - I love the papers and seem to be in a vintagey mood of late as everything seems to be going that way!
I loved making it and hope they love it too - the baby is called Alyssa which is a beautiful name and she is a lovely red head just like her gorgeous Mum so my baby fairy is a red head too!
It just so happens this fits Mos challenge this week too being Cute and cuddly!

Life at the Clarke house is ticking along.  Hubby is managing with his little job and business is picking up for his music performances too.  I'm just glad there is some harmony for a while.  Looking forward to the weekend for get togethers with family and with a couple of days off next week I hope to get my Christmas baking almost done.  I have had more orders for cakes this week despite the sample being a gone wrong one (I forgot to put the baking powder in!). The kitchen will smell Christmassy which is just as well as I have some card classes to prepare with lots of Christmas crafty ingredients too!
Hope your weekend is looking great.

special friends

October is a month for quite a few birthdays - here is one of the cards for one of my friends I've aimed for a Cath Kidston look as its a shop we both love looking in!
The papers are by papermania - oh my have papermania produced gorgeous papers this year - I have had so many of the pads I have loved so much - This one is called Happy days.  The embossing folder is from the same range, dressform is by Craftwork cards and Tim Holtz chipboard buttons from the sewing room die.  Loved making it so I hope she loves it too.
Hope you have had a crafty week xx

Its been a whole week

But honestly I have not been idle!
Last week saw Michelle and I teach 2 different classes each in the same day totalling 4 classes.  Twas fun from the teaching perspective but we had enormous fun with the ladies we taught.  Lots of giggling as well as lots of learning.

Today saw me manage a rare playday at the local shop with some seriously talented crafters.  I played away making a cotton bobbin wreath with Halloween papers by Echo Park.
The addition of TH bats and sparkly spiders and I am pleased with how it turned out despite its fiddly coming together.
I loved the papers so much i made a card to match with a much bigger spider this time.  All the work is done for you with the papers - its just assembly really once the idea pops into your head!

These are for my Niece and Nephew who always have a Halloween party.  They should have quite a collection of decorations I have made over the years for them.

I managed 2 more cards too and the beginnings of a mini book but I will save them for another day.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have had crafty filled days too xx

(Midnight crafter) the cake pops were made by another crafty chum Debs - I am surrounded by the most talented folks!
and look who made it home.  My Youngest son James and his gorgeous Girlfriend Christie
Which made his sisters day !
Here is the party girl rockin for all she is worth
 and boogying  with Liam
 My Mum and Sister
and the folks left at the very end.  Bradley in front was the DJ and did an amazing job!

A fun and exhausting weekend.

Christmas is coming......

and I am slow with my preparations this year.  Behind with my cards and especially my Christmas cake making!  Here is a fast card I whipped up last week using stampin ups cajun craze and a gorgeous stamp by Inkadinkadoo
A few stamped snowflakes on the card blank and a bow with the sentiment - I like its simplicity.  Could be a great one to batch make!

Hope you have a fabulous Friday and thanks for popping by to see what I am up to x

New babies

Are always a time for excitement so when I found out my sons pal was expecting a baby I offered to make the birth announcements as a gift.

This cute washing line was perfect although it has been removed from the block so I cannot remember the company!
coloured with promarkers and teamed with some craft creations papers I added this sentiment by Whimsey stamps.
this is inside the card just waiting for those all important details.
I batch made 20!  baby is obviously a boy and due date is on Friday so good job I finished them quick!

Hope your day has been fun and full of craft xx

Another swap at The Stamp Man

A new month which means a new swap over at The Stamp Man.
This time its Shades of Autumn.
I used a peel off mask to create the background with distress ink and used an actual peel off for the embelishment.
Love the simplicity of this.

Last weekend was the craft retreat at Beamsley and do you know I didnt take any photos! Too busy chatting and crafting!
It was an amazing time catching up with some lovely folks and sharing ideas.
March retreat is almost full already!

Today has been busy too catching up with old friends and cuddling a gorgeous baby girl.  A nice chilled evening before I'm back to work tomorrow.  I have one complaint about craft weekends - they go far too fast!

Thanks for stopping by xx
